Marketing and Strategy Internship Available!
Prospect Development is a closely held company that has experience in
the development of ongoing successful marketing and sales programs in
universities, colleges and private prep schools under separate
corporation names for each enterprise.
This summer internship
will be leading the development of a new start-up marketing and sales
company with the potential of moving from a local presence within the
central Connecticut area to a national presence. This company must be
ready for actual implementation by August 2013
The location for this internship is Hartford, Connecticut near Trinity College.
What you will learn:
How to develop and implement a business plan with actual functionality
Understand the financial needs within the business plan and how to bring them to reality with hands on approach.
importance of integrating all elements of the marketing concept
together using viral loops between all possible social media accounts
i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, blogs and Instagram
The importance is
not just social media accounts but to have face to face contacts with
both sides of the business equation: "the User and the Merchant"
What we require:
Background in Liberal Arts with some Economic courses with a possible business direction
Good writing and communication skills
Excel and Microsoft word, with proficiency
Organized with and ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
Creative and flexible
Social media familiarity
A car will be necessary with this position
This position begins May 15, 2013 and ends July 31, 2013
this position we offer a fully furnished four-bedroom apartment with
cable and Internet and all expenses included, during the intern period.
This apartment is located next to Trinity College
We provide a gas allowance to reimburse all millage cost
There is a weekly stipend of $250. during the intern period
The estimated weekly hours are approximately but not limited to 35 hours
This internship will require a signed confidentiality agreement to protect proprietary information
