Faculty and Staff,

Are you interested in helping a small group of first-year students orient to Trinity in a focused, healthy way? The Implementation Subcommittee on First-Year Experiences, Special Programs and Academic Initiatives is looking for faculty or staff members or a student organizations (with faculty advisers) to design and direct new pre-orientation programs for fall 2013.

Here are the highlights:

• Mission: engage students in activities that help them learn more about their environment, themselves and each other and become oriented to Trinity through healthy interactions.

• Calendar: The programs will take place on Monday afternoon, Tuesday, and Wednesday, Aug. 26-28.

• Group size: we’re aiming for eight programs of about 25 students each.

• Finances: ~$5,000 program budget and $1,000 stipend to the program director

What we would need from you: If you’re interested in designing and directing a program, we would need a brief description of the program that you would carry out. In order to get materials together in a timely manner, we would need this very soon: March 26. We will confirm that your program will be “a go” by Thursday, April 4.
