Daniel C. Esty, Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP), will speak about the policy priorities of his agency and his vision for the future of Connecticut.
 
DEEP is the state agency charged with conserving, improving and protecting the state’s natural resources and environment and ensuring that Connecticut has a clean, affordable, reliable and sustainable energy supply.  Prior to becoming DEEP Commissioner, Esty was the Hillhouse Professor of Environmental Law and Policy at Yale University.  He held faculty appointments in both Yale’s Environment and Law Schools.  He also served as the Director of the Yale Center for Environmental Law and Policy and the Center for Business & Environment at Yale.
