Laura Holt, Assistant Professor of Psychology
While it is well known that binge drinking is a problem on many college campuses, less is known about how personal, social, and environmental characteristics of students interact to increase risk for engaging in this behavior. Laura Holt will describe different profiles of first-year students, and explore how different profiles are related to alcohol consumption and how this information might inform the development of prevention and intervention programs on college campuses.

A light lunch will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. If you plan on bringing a class or group to a Thursday Common Hour program, please e-mail common-hour@trincoll.edu in order for adequate food to be requested.

Common Hour
intends to offer the Trinity community an opportunity to absent themselves from daily tasks and concerns, gather, and engage in topics of interest and enjoy performances, lectures, discussions, and readings that enrich our cultural and intellectual lives. The designated weekly hours also seeks to showcase the best of what occurs within our campus community.
