On behalf of Film Studies at Trinity, we are thrilled to invite you to the premier screening of the Trinity College Guest Film Project, Coaching Colburn: Finding Love and Laughter after Autism. Students, as part of the Guest Filmmaker Course and under the guidance of visiting artist Jeff Bemiss, created this short film.
James Colburn was born with Fragile X Syndrome. At 26, he is a child at heart who finds joy in the smallest things and uses his gift of comedic timing to inspire those around him. James is living proof there is love and laughter after autism.
The screening, along with a post-film discussion, will be held during the Common Hour on Tuesday, February 4, in the Gallows Hill Common Room. We hope you might encourage some of your colleagues and students to attend this screening as well. We anticipate this will be a dynamic screening and a fascinating discussion. Light lunch will be provided.
