Biology Research Technician
The successful candidate is expected to have a Bachelors degree in a sciences related field and experience with lab research.  Performs a variety of duties related to research in the Biology department including managing some aspects of general lab organization. Specific lab research techniques include immunohistochemistry and molecular biology.  Experience with microscopy is highly desired.  Must have the ability to learn to routinely handle small specimens, be highly organized, and have attention to detail. Will be responsible for maintaining insect and crustacean cultures, performing on-going experiments, ordering supplies and maintaining stock solutions.  Knowledge of Python programming is a plus. Physical effort requires occasional lifting.

Part-time, full-year position (17.5 hours/week); level 12; $17.00/hour or more depending on qualifications and experience.  Part-time benefits are available.
